A rise ?   It’s time to require a comparative offer !

Cancelling is possible when the premiums, the benefits,
the premium categories system or the regulations on insurance deductible change.

This means that a premium rise is not inevitable !

Usually, your current insurance company  announces you the new premiums before the end of the year by sending you a rise notification and/or a new insurance policy.

The insurance companies must announce a rise at least 25 days before the expiry of your contract. Therefore, should you wish to cancel your contract, you must do it by sending your cancellation notification by registered mail, which must be received by your insurance company the last day before the expiry at the latest. (Usually on December 31st).

Your current insurance will insure you until the end of the year. Then, you will be insured by the new company you have chosen as of January 1st.

Useful hints:

  • Usual deadline: three months before the end of the year at the contract expiry.

  • Should the premiums decrease or remain unchanged, you are to respect the standard cancellation deadlines.
